Ride to the Reindeer
It’s hard to believe that deep in the mountains in Northern Mongolia is a place people still ride reindeer. But it’s real and we go there each year to follow them on their autumn migration through the forests and mountains . Come for a two week journey with us to see the beauty, natural wonders and the incredible Dukha people and their reindeer.

Duration - two weeks
Start and Finish - Ulaanbaatar
Difficulty - Moderate
Skills required - Must be reasonably fit and have ridden horses in the past. The riding itself is slow paced and mostly trekking in the mountains however it is in an extremely remote area which comes with a certain level of risk.
Weight limit - 90kg to ride horses and 75kg and under to ride the reindeer. Horses are available for the entirety of the trip.
Support - Vehicle support is unavailable for the riding section however we provide tents, chef and support crew and translator for the entire expedition

Itinerary
20th of August - Meet & greet plus expedition briefing at the Holiday Inn. 7 pm Team Dinner
21st of August - Leave UB for the countryside travel north with 4wds
22nd - Arrive at our herder camp -one of the most beautiful spots in Mongolia.
23rd-31st - Riding with horses and reindeer and visiting Duhka camps
1st- September: begin travel south
2nd - September- Arrive UB dinner in the city
3rd - September - Trip to the black markets, cashmere stores and museums or the Genghis Khan monument. Finish party & dinner with a traditional concert.
